Today is July 26 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. And don’t forget to download the free DML App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to remain connected to me throughout the day.
1-Night of craziness takes over US
Saturday was another night of rioting and lawlessness in a number of cities across the U.S. The evening’s mayhem – which spilled over into Sunday morning in many instances – included damage to federal buildings and local police precincts and even included a fatal shooting in Austin, Texas.
Fox News offered a recap of some of the disturbing developments in a sampling of cities.
Portland, Oregon: Courthouse fence breached
A huge crowd that included the Wall of Moms and the Wall of Vets turned out for yet another day and night of rioting and lawlessness in Portland, Ore., a city that has seen more than 50 consecutive days of such behavior since the May 25 death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.

Los Angeles: Damage to courthouse, City Hall clash

DML: Send in the US MARINES and let them stand guard as every cop arrests every thug. This nonsense will end in a day. Either way, I feel obliged to say that if I was the president this would not be happening.
2-Armed militia takes over KY streets
Members of the Georgia-based Black militia NFAC, which stands for “Not F*cking Around Coalition” came to demand justice for Breonna Taylor who was shot and killed on March 13.
Dressed in all black and carrying assault rifles, the militia marched from Baxter Park in the Russell neighborhood to Metro Hall, where leader Grandmaster Jay gave his speech and demands.
Prior to the march three members of the group was injured at the park when a gun accidentally fired. Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) confirmed the shooting as accidental but also warned that it could have been worse.
During his speech in front of Metro Hall, the group spokesperson Grandmaster Jay warned the Attorney General to get to a decision in the Breonna Taylor case. Members of the group met with Attorney General Daniel Cameron earlier this week. Saturday’s march was part two of their process, the group confirms.

DML: This may sound bizarre coming from me, but you’ve got to give BLM credit for taking full advantage of their First and Second Amendment rights without wearing masks in the process. The rest of us complain on Facebook and Twitter thinking it will change things.
3-Female basketball players walk off court during national anthem
The Seattle Storm and New York Liberty, walked off the court during the playing of the national anthem prior to their game on Saturday. In addition, there was a 26-second moment of silence in honor of 26-year-old Breonna Taylor who was shot and killed by Louisville police. Each player also wore Taylor’s name on the back of their jerseys.

DML: Pro sports are dead. These overpaid women, just the like overpaid men in NBA, NFL, and MLB, will regret the day they participated in this anti-American nonsense.
4- Brett Favre golfs with Trump
President Donald Trump on Saturday golfed with former NFL legend Brett Favre, who played for the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings. The White House released a photo of the famous quarterback and the president, at his Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
DML: Glad to see no masks.
5- Brawl over COVID-19 plays out on train
Video captured on the Chicago Transit Authority Red Line showed a nurse being attacked by a black man man, whom witnesses claimed was ranting about the coronavirus.
DML: This is now the new normal. Welcome to the USA.
MY PARTING WORDS: It’s impossible not to recognize how screwed up things are in the country right now. For example, yesterday on my Instagram page I posted a selfie taken in Rhode Island. Above me is a banner asking people to PLEASE wear a mask. I posted a photo of me standing in front of the sign without a mask. I wrote,”I will not wear a mask no matter how nice you ask.” (Commentary continues under photo)

I received a few responses stating I was in the wrong. The folks who pushed back against me claimed I was putting their health at risk. How does a healthy person put people at risk? Taking it a step further, my bigger response is this: If you are sick, or have an underlying issue, either stay home by yourself, or if you prefer to go outside then you can wear a mask if you think it will protect you. Even better, stay the hell away from me if my lack of mask wearing is enough to send you into a tizzy. I guess the good news is not everyone has lost their mind. Maybe I should print t-shirts, “I FEEL GREAT, I TAKE DML CBD.” I have to point to all the smart people who go to DMLcbd.com and boost their immune systems. These people are brilliant.
