A 3-year-old boy was found dead Saturday inside his parent’s car, which was parked outside a Las Vegas resort. Police say the boy died due to the extreme heat that is taking a hold of Nevada.
According to police, the young boy was left in the car for more than a hour. Temperatures in Las Vegas on Saturday hit 113 degrees.
Reportedly, the parents and the child were in Las Vegas as part of a big family reunion.
The only explanation provided by authorities was that the parents “lost track of the child.”
No further information was provided about charges against the parents, but the tragedy unfolded at the Grandview resort.
The boy’s name was Chase Lee. The family was from Fillmore, Utah.
