There are some news reports that are trending Thursday evening.

We’ve highlighted some of them for you:

1) General Michael Flynn’s attorneys cut ties with Trump legal team…. According to The New York Times, the lawyers for former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn have informed President Trump’s legal team that they can no longer discuss Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian activities during the 2016 election campaign.

The move could indicate that Flynn’s legal team either is cooperating with Mueller’s investigators or is negotiating to do so.

The Times story, which cited four anonymous sources, reported that the president’s attorneys have been bracing for Flynn to be indicted in recent weeks.  READ MORE

2) New Manafort travel docs reveal closer ties to Russia… A new report from McClatchy DC is claiming that Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, took at least 18 trips to Moscow and was in frequent contact with Vladimir Putin’s allies for nearly a decade, as a consultant in Russia and Ukraine for oligarchs and pro-Kremlin parties.  READ MORE

3) Las Vegas massacre gunman fired more than 1,100 rounds… Stephen Paddock fired more than 1,100 rounds when he killed 58 people and injured more than 500 others at a country music festival on the Strip last month, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo told a local newspaper Wednesday.

Lombardo told the Las Vegas Review-Journal he was aware of the previously unreported figure because his department’s forensics lab is working with the FBI to process all ballistics evidence.  READ MORE

4) Football players beat teammate unconscious at party…Four high school football players at Blue Earth Area High School in Winnebago, Minn., are facing felony charges after allegedly beating a teammate. The incident has sparked debates about bullying in the small Minnesota town. According to The Associated Press, the boys range in age from 16 to 18, and the felony charges include third-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm.  READ MORE
