The leftist media and their ilk weren’t the only ones upset with President Donald J Trump’s equalizing response to the events in Charlottesville, Virginia — it’s being reported that his daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, were none too pleased that he didn’t use more forceful words against the nationalist group than he did, according to Breitbart News Sunday.
However, Jared and Ivanka’s occasional bouts of displeasure with the President are nothing new, according to Breitbart.
The shocking revelation came in a Breitbart article which offered the tease, ” List: 6 Times Javanka’s Displeasure with POTUS Leaked to Press…” It’s one of two Breitbart articles on Sunday that reference Ivanka in a less than favorable manner Sunday.
Dennis Michael Lynch, CEO of DML NEWS and a fan of Bannon’s said, “Make no mistake, the mere fact that they are using the term “Javanka” — which is a tabloid way of combining the names Jared and Ivanka — says to me that Bannon ain’t happy with either of the two. Think about it, 2 stories about Ivanka in one day, neither of them very favorable… Remember, Bannon’s first editorial meeting with Breitbart was Friday evening. Don’t think for a moment this isn’t a message to readers and the media.”
The New York Times’ Glenn Thrush reported this week, via an anonymous source, that Kushner and Ivanka had hoped that the president would denounce the white nationalist protesters “more forcefully.” Thrush reported the news just after Trump had defended his recent statements by repeating for a second time Tuesday, “You look at both sides. I think there is blame on both sides. I have no doubt about it… if you reported it accurately, you would say that,” Trump told an angry group of reporters. Who’s the source? Could it be Jared and or Ivanka themselves?
It’s interesting to note that with former White House adviser Steve Bannon back at the helm of the conservative news outlet, Breitbart articles now carry more weight than those from other sources.
Breitbart has always been a trusted news source for conservatives, but Bannon’s White House experience gives their reporting an extra level of knowledge in pursuit of journalistic truth during a time when “fake news” has hit epidemic proportions. “Every time there’s an article that is even a bit unfriendly to people within Trump’s circle, we’ll always factor in that Bannon directs the narrative. And that’s great news for truth seekers,” said Dennis Michael Lynch.
That said, Breitbart News on Sunday came out with a list of other instances in which the Kushners were reportedly at odds with President Trump:
Pre-election Access Hollywood clip
When tapes emerged in October of President Trump talking crudely about women in 2005 was leaked to the Washington Post, it was a blow to Trump’s campaign. Ivanka Trump, according to the New York Times, was also devastated by the news and ”made an emphatic case for a full-throated apology.”
“[Trump’s] daughter’s eyes welled with tears, her face reddened, and she hurried out in frustration,” the Times reported in May.
Paris Climate Agreement
When President Trump announced that the U.S. would pull back from the Paris climate agreement, news reporters expected that Ivanka and Jared would not be pleased. Politico, while reporting that it was surely a “loss” for the happy couple, cited sources saying that the pair were taking it in their stride.
“Their view of their roles in the White House is that they’re playing the long game, helping the president to be successful. And they don’t tally their own influence day by day or bill by bill,” Politico reported.
Trump ‘Undermines’ Kushner on Mexico
In January, Vanity Fair reported that Kushner was “furious” that his efforts were being “undermined” by the President of the United States. The outlet pointed to a meeting between Trump and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, which Kushner was trying to arrange.
President Trump tweeted that it would be better to cancel the meeting if Mexico was unwilling to pay for the wall, and the meeting was canceled.
“Kushner was f_cking furious,” an anonymous source told the outlet. “I’d never once heard him say he was angry throughout the entire campaign. But he was furious.”
LGBT Rights Order
In February, Politico ran a story saying that the couple helped kill off an order that would have overturned a 2014 Obama-era executive order preventing LGBT discrimination in the workplace.
The White House downplayed the move, saying it was one of hundreds of draft orders being considered.
Transgender Military Ban
When President Trump tweeted that he would not allow trans-identifying people to serve in the military, a number of people within the White House were reportedly shocked; including Ivanka and Jared, who Politico said were “blindsided” — with Ivanka reportedly learning of the decision “when she saw her father’s tweet on her phone.”
DML concluded, “Bannon will never admit — he’d be foolish to — but I am sure there were many days in the White House when the liberal couple drove him up a wall, and made him wonder if their influence would keep this administration from pushing a conservative platform like promised on the campaign trail. It’s too early to tell how much influence they have or do not have, but it’s clear to see how any conservative can and would be concerned.”
