MAN TRIES TO GRAB POLICE OFFICER’S GUN DURING TRUMP RALLY

NEVADA:  A 19-year-old man identified as Michael Sandford has been arrested at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas on Saturday after attempting to disarm a police officer while pretending to get an autograph, officials say.

Michael Sandford reportedly walked up to a police officer and claimed he was trying to get an autograph, police said.  Sandford then allegedly tried to take the officer’s gun without warning.

Officers quickly detained the man without incident. He is now in the custody of the Secret Service and will face criminal charges, KVVU-TV reported.

Police didn’t speculate as to the suspect’s motive or release a mugshot.
