Dozens of protesters outraged over the GOP healthcare bill were arrested Monday, as Capitol Police cracked down on abuses of crowding, obstructing and incommoding.
Descending on Capitol office buildings, the activists were dispersed throughout the site, speaking against the Senate GOP’s healthcare bill. The demonstrators were warned to end their activities, but the police were forced to arrest 80 individuals because the they ignored the requests.
The police arrested 21 demonstrators in the House office buildings, and 59 in the Senate office buildings.
Those who were arrested were charged.

The protests were timed to coincide with the lawmakers return from the Fourth of July recess.
