According to ABC NEWS, the attacker is a Muslim who has been on the FBI watch list for the past year.  Recently, Wasil Farooqui (20-years-old), traveled to Turkey and may have tried to sneak into Syria, where ISIS is recruiting soldiers and sympathizers.
