A former star of the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless” has been arrested and charged with child molestation in his home state of Georgia.
Corey Sligh, 28, has been accused of molesting a girl who was under the age of 10, and The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office says he was arrested on October 14 after the parents of the young girl reported the allegations on September 24, TMZ reported.
It was added that the alleged molestation occurred from April until September of this year, and it is currently unknown how many times the actor molested the girl during the five month period.
After Sligh was arrested, he was released the same day on a $22,000 bond.
People reported that the actor’s attorney could not be reached, and that it is also unclear whether the actor has entered a plea.
Sligh told TMZ, “I am innocent and fighting this until the end, and the truth will prevail.”
These allegations come two years after Sligh was intentionally hit by a car and then beaten up by two men in a Rite Aid parking lot on Thanksgiving Day. Sligh was left with multiple injuries and his attackers currently face fines and prison time. The attackers may now also be praised for their actions considering the nature of this disgusting report.
