As actors and actresses united to decry sexual abuse and wage discrimination during the Golden Globes Sunday night, actor James Franco’s participation has been called hypocritical by women accusing him of being part of the problem.

Franco wore a “Time’s Up” pin to the awards show, which signifies support for the fight against sexual misconduct in Hollywood. He also wore a  black suit, a sign of solidarity during the event for the #MeToo movement, a hashtag used to designate oneself as a victim of such abuse.

Sunday evening, Franco took home the Golden Globe for best actor in a musical or comedy for his part in “The Disaster Artist,” but his win brought up some negative feelings about the 39-year-old actor’s history of sexual abuse allegations, and questions about his right to include himself in the aforementioned movements.

Fox News reports:

“Shortly after Franco’s win … an unverified Twitter account for actress Ally Sheedy began slamming the win.

“Her tweets garnered social media attention and were deleted after outlets like Vanity Fair and E! News began reporting that Sheedy had called out Franco. One tweet read, ‘James Franco just won. Please never ever ask me why I left the film/tv business.’

Another stated, ‘Ok wait. Bye. Christian Slater and James Franco at a table on @goldenglobes #MeToo’

An earlier tweet from the night also referenced Franco. It read, ‘Why is a man hosting? Why is James Franco allowed in? Said too much.'”

The tweets, captured in a screen shot which can be viewed in a tweet below, may have been a reference to a 2014 story about Franco, in which he made headlines for trying to engage in a sexual encounter with a 17-year-old girl.

At the time, messages emerged showing Franco attempting to arrange a meetup with the girl at a New York hotel. Franco admitted the messages were legitimate, and apologized, saying he was “embarrassed” and had “used bad judgement.”

The actor’s win also brought out accusers. TIME reports, “Golden Globes viewers took to Twitter to criticize Franco for his alleged treatment of women in the past, including two women who made specific accusations against the actor.”

The news site links to two tweets. The first, from @VioletPaley, reads, “Cute #TIMESUP pin James Franco. Remember the time you pushed my head down in a car towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17? After you had already been caught doing that to a different 17 year old?”

The second, from @sarahtk, reads, “Hey James Franco, nice #timesup pin at the #GoldenGlobes, remember a few weeks ago when you told me the full nudity you had me do in two of your movies for $100/day wasn’t exploitative because I signed a contract to do it? Times up on that!”

Other Twitter users called Franco out for generally being considered “a creep” in Hollywood. Examples may be found below.
