In order to “undermine the American economy,” the Al Qaeda online magazine “Inspire” calls for would-be jihadis to assassinate business leaders and entrepreneurs, reports analysts who monitor the organization’s web chatter.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has obtained a copy of the latest edition of Inspire, which features a cover photo of a hooded killer watching a home, with the headlines “Professional Assassinations” and “Home Assassinations,” and includes a photo of Bill Gates splatted in blood.
This is Al Qaeda declaring WAR on America.
MEMRI quotes Inspire’s editor, Yahya Ibrahim, as opening the issue by saying “assassination is an effective toll in warfare,” and notes that “The prophet ordered the killing of many criminal leaders using this method … And here we are, following the footsteps of the prophet on how he dealt with his enemies and friends.”
Ibrahim adds in this issue that the focus of the previous issue of Inspire was what he called “workplace” assassinations, and hopes to expand on the same topic in the current issue, which AQAP hopes will lead to training and preparing a more “professional” type of lone wolves.
“We will never put down our weapons until we fulfill what Allah wants from us. We are determined to keep fighting and striking Americans with operations by organized jihadi groups and by Lone Jihad, [and] pursuing America in its homeland — by the will of Allah,” MEMRI quotes Ibrahim as saying.
The magazine provides detailed information on “professional assassinations,” and features a section on bomb-making and encourages radical Islamic terrorists to walk up to Americans and stab them to death.
In an earlier, and similar article in September 2015, a hit list includes Charles and David Koch, Sam Walton, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Michael Bloomberg and others.
“We present to you, a model to follow and an assassination list which will help us achieve strategic goals. We believe that placing this feasible program to Lone Mujahideen will allow us to achieve great goals in this war. Whoever understands the components of the American economy knows the importance these personalities play in the revival of the America Economy. The assassination of these economic personalities or their migration from America or the mere fact that they live in insecurity, will later on bring instability to the American economy.”
