The liberal actor and avid Trump protester, Alec Baldwin is planning to release a parody book, pretending to hold the most powerful position in the world, currently filled by President Donald J. Trump.
Pretending to be the commander in chief, Baldwin poses on the upcoming book’s front cover, making a ridiculous face as he tries to mimic President Trump.
The cover, which was released Wednesday by Entertainment Weekly (EW), features Alec Baldwin sitting at the president’s desk in a mock-up of the Oval Office. Framed pictures of the president’s children are in the background.
The cover photo boasts the title of the book, which is called “You Can’t Spell America Without Me.” The book is written by Alec Baldwin and Kurt Andersen, better known for being the co-founder of Spy magazine. The book is said to be written from “Donald Trump’s perspective.”
The book’s publisher is Penguin Press, and the subtitle reads, “The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year as President Donald J. Trump (A So-Called Parody).”
The publisher’s website describes the book as follows:
“Political satire as deeper truth: Donald Trump’s presidential memoir, as recorded by two world-renowned Trump scholars, and experts on greatness generally.
“Until Donald Trump publishes his account of his entire four or eight or one-and-a-half years in the White House, the definitive chronicle will be You Can’t Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year As President.”
Poking fun at President Trump, the website says Trump is “a man always eager to tell the unvarnished truth about others’ flaws as well as his own excellence.” It also claims it will reveal “what he really thinks of Melania and Ivanka and Jared, Donald Jr. and Eric and the other one.”
The book is set to hit bookshelves on Nov. 7, 2017.
Baldwin is reviving his career by hating on Trump. Unfortunately, it’s not an act. Aside from the numerous gigs he gets playing President Trump on “Saturday Night Live,” Baldwin supported Kathy Griffith’s disgraceful attack on the president.
Griffith made headlines for posting a picture of herself holding what was supposed to look like the severed head of President Trump. In reaction to the picture, Baldwin tweeted: “Kathy…f**k them. F**k them all. No 1 believes u meant 2 threaten Trump. Trump is such a senile idiot, all he has is Twitter fights.”
Baldwin also joined Michael Moore, the liberal documentary filmmaker, for a rally against Trump in New York City. The underwhelming crowd that attended was in awe of Baldwin and asked he mock the president like he does on SNL.
Baldwin also mocked President Trump during a promotional video for his upcoming roast on Spike’s “One Night Only“. Appearing in makeup and a powdered wig, and using his ridiculous “Trump” voice, Baldwin says, “Hello, everyone. It’s me, George Washington, who made America great the first time.”
President Trump has called Baldwin’s recurring impression of him “sad,” and stated it “just can’t get any worse.”
