Amy Schumer’s new Netflix special is turning off viewers who tuned in to hear the stand-up comedienne sound off on her hatred of President Trump and his supporters.

“Amy Schumer: The Leather Special” received a barrage of negative reviews from Netflix subscribers last week, according to a report on Fox News.

One viewer wrote, “I made it 10 minutes into this and shut it off,” and gave the special a one-star rating.

The special reportedly received 1,200 reviews from Netflix subscribers. Viewers overwhelmingly panned the performance, showing their displeasure by giving it an overall average rating of 1.5 stars.

Another viewer commented, “SO BAD!! I did stay and watch the whole show in hopes that it would get better, and it didn’t.”

Yet another comment complained that the show dragged on far too long. “I’m really disappointed,” wrote the viewer.

TV critics seem to have the same opinion as does the public.

The LA Times said, “‘The Leather Special’ not only relies on… explicit themes, but kicks it all up a notch so there’s more of it — with more frequency and extremities. And as it turns out, that’s not a good thing.”

Newsday’s TV critic gave the special a “C” rating, calling it “too much” and “too carnal.”

The Detroit News’ reviewer did find the show funny, but called the performance “predictable.”

When it was announced back in January that Schumer would be coming out with the new special, a Netflix exec stated, “Totally fearless and always hilarious, Amy Schumer’s bold and singular voice in comedy is a brilliant match for Netflix and our global comedy fans.”
