New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that the state will erect a statue in the Brooklyn borough of New York City to honor the life of late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Cuomo announced the memorial on Saturday and said that the statue “will serve as a physical reminder of Justice Ginsburg’s monumental contributions to the America we know today and as an inspiration for all.”

The article goes on to state the following:

A commission will be appointed to provide recommendations about the exact location, design, and installation of the monument to the governor. Cuomo’s office said in a news release that the commission will reach out to the art community and art organizations as part of the process.

  1. So offensive!! I don’t agree with her rulings as killing babies and giving illegal aliens rights they are not entitled to is not something that should be honored. No matter what good she accomplished. Isn’t that the new liberal way?

  2. With all the taking down of historical statues no new ones should be put up. I’m sure it would be offensive to some. The same with naming things in honor of someone. If one is so offensive to be removed then all should be removed
