Ice Cube, who is scheduled to appear on Maher’s show this Friday, had some choice words for Maher and his use of the N-word while interviewing Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse on his show two weeks ago.

Ice Cube went off on Maher in an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine promising he would, “say what I gotta say” when he appeared on Maher’s show.

“Everybody feels like they can make a joke and cross that line. You can make a joke about everything, but everything ain’t funny,” Ice Cube said.

Hitting on one of his famous lines from his rap days, Ice Cube took issue with the way Maher used the term, as he implied there were gradations in the level of suffering different types of slaves endured.

“And he wants to talk about ‘house [N-word],’ like they had it so much better? … It’s like, please. It wasn’t a cakewalk for a so-called ‘house [N-word],’ either, unless you like being raped. Sometimes, you gotta know when to shut up. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.”

Regardless of Maher’s integrity as a TV personality, his show this Friday should be one to remember.
