This is former New York congressman Anthony Weiner’s last weekend as a free man before he surrenders himself to authorities on Monday.

Weiner, 53, will serve his 21-month sentence at the Federal Medical Center in Massachusetts after pleading guilty to exchanging sexually explicit messages with a 15-year-old girl.

The Federal Medical Center is a federal prison, located in north-central Massachusetts, for male inmates requiring specialized or long-term medical or mental health care, according to Wikipedia. Designated as an administrative facility, the prison houses inmates from white-collar criminals to mobsters and sex offenders. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice.

Weiner’s fall from grace played out before a national audience and peaked along with the final days of the 2016 presidential campaign, when his self-destructive behavior not only destroyed his career, but his marriage and even Hillary Clinton’s campaign took a hit.

During his sentencing, a teary-eyed Weiner told U.S. District Judge Denise Cote, “The crime I committed is my rock bottom.”

Weiner first disgraced himself and became the butt of many Weiner-inspired jokes in 2011, when he was forced to resign from Congress after sending photos of his private parts to women and then lying about it.

That humiliation was apparently not enough to get Weiner to stop being a sext maniac, because on Jan. 23, 2016, a high-school student from North Carolina messaged him on Twitter and off he went into his old habits, according to court documents. The student admitted she was in high school, but that didn’t stop Weiner from asking her to undress and touch herself.

Court filings reveal that Weiner progressed to sending the 15-year-old “obscene material,” including adult porn and a message “describing what he would do to her if she were 18.”

A judge also sentenced Weiner to three years of supervised release after he gets out of prison and fined him $10,000.

Weiner’s estranged wife, longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, filed for divorce in May.
