Washington D.C. was riddled with violent riots around the presidential inauguration ceremony, but Trump Tower in Manhattan on Friday experienced a flood of protests that ended up hindering traffic.
Multiple protesters were arrested, including New York City Councilman Jumaane Williams and his mother. New York City Police Department was stationed outside of Trump Tower to deflate the escalating anarchy.
The night before, on the eve of Trump’s inauguration, liberal elites Michael Moore and Alec Baldwin hosted a rally outside of President Donald Trump’s New York City hotel.
The protesters gathered outside of Trump Tower at noon Friday, time in accordance with Trump being sworn in. The protesters shouted and jeered chants: “No justice, no peace. Resist from day one.”
Another protest is expected Saturday in D.C., which will be an anti-Trump women’s march.
