Antifa protester punches female reporter in the face during VA rally

The stories from the Unite the Right rally continue to flood in.

Following the deadly car attack in Charlottesville, Virginia Saturday, reporter Taylor Lorenz was allegedly punched by an “Antifa” protester as she tried to film the ensuing chaos.

The Hill reporter was filming the site of the incident where a car rammed into a crowd of anti-fascist protesters attempting to counter-protest the white nationalist riot in the city. The suspect was identified by police late Saturday as 20-year-old James Alex Fields Jr., and he is being held responsible for the death of at least one person.

In the recorded video, a disgruntled protester demands Lorenz to stop filming the scene. She refutes, prompting the violent protester to punch her in the face and yell “stop f_cking recording.” Lorenz can be heard screaming as her phone hits the ground.

Lorenz later updated her Twitter followers that the assailant was detained by police due to a warrant already being out for his arrest. She confirmed she was mostly fine, but that she was “really f_cking pissed.” Lorenz confirmed she will be filing charges.
