An attempted jewelry store robbery went fatefully wrong when thieves couldn’t break through a wall of protective glass.

The pitiful attempt in Malaysia left the group of thieves empty-handed after an embarrassing face-off with an indestructible display case.

Surveillance video posted on Facebook by the jewelry store in Shah Alam exposes two burglars repeatedly beating a glass display case with large metal hammers – but never shattering it.

Two other thieves are seen standing close by waiting for the glass to break. All four were wearing motorcycle helmets with highly tinted visors.

After multiple hits to the case, with no success, the thieves tried to smash the glass by using their gloved hands. That attempt also failed.

Nothing was stolen, but the store will still have to close temporarily to repair the damage wreaked by the culprits.
