Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) got emotional on Fox News Sunday, saying it was the best father’s day ever after he survived the shooting at a congressional baseball practice that rocked capitol hill this week.
“I can tell you this is the best Father’s Day I’ve ever had, to be able to come back home and see the outpouring of care and support from the people that know me best, including my family,” he said Sunday. “It’s been a really humbling event and very memorable for me and my family.”
Davis was one of four members of the GOP shot at while practicing for a charity baseball game in Alexandria, Virginia.
