Fox News reports Beyonce is facing a $20 million lawsuit from the estate of the late Anthony Barre, a YouTube star who was killed in 2010.
The estate claims Beyonce used Barre’s voice in the opening of her song, Formation.
Beyonce has not acknowledged the use of Barre’s voice in her song or compensated the estate, reportedly.
Barre, who was shot and killed in 2010, went by the name of Messy Mya on YouTube. Beyonce, along with the director of the video and Warner Music Group, is being sued for $20 million in damages and royalties.
