Biden Touts Future Leaders of Democratic Party

In an interview with CNN, Vice President Joe Biden shared his vision for future leadership in the Democratic party – himself, Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

“Like after every presidential election when the party loses, there is no single leader,” said Biden.

He told Jake Tapper, “Hopefully I will be able to have a voice in the direction of the party.”

Tapper then asks Biden who will be the voice of the people in a place like Scranton, when two major figures in the party – such as Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer – are from California and New York. Biden responded, “I’m not going anywhere.”

Referencing that 2018 is going to be a “very good year for the Democrats,” the Vice President expressed that the party will be able to, “not generically make America better, but here’s how I’m actually going to make America better.”

When the CNN host reminded Biden that the Republican party controls both the House and Senate, Biden told him to wait and watch when they do it.

“I can hardly wait for these debates,” Biden smugly said.
