CLEVELAND — Typically, the GOP nominee does not appear until the last night of the convention, but Donald Trump is not fond of the protocol set by the establishment.  Thus, the billionaire businessman will make an appearance on the first night of the Republican National Convention to introduce his wife, Melania, in her first major speech to GOP voters.

Trump’s campaign manager Paul Manafort confirmed Monday morning that Trump will arrive here Monday evening before returning on Wednesday to be officially nominated by the Republican Party.

Melania Trump is set to address convention attendees around 8 p.m. Monday as part of day one’s “Make America Safe Again” theme.
