The famous Las Vegas strip was temporarily closed on Thursday evening due to a fire at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

The blaze started on the roof where the hotel’s shops are located and authorities stated it was helped by the wind and artificial decorations made of styrofoam.

The Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) managed to arrive at the location approximately five minutes after the 10:46 p.m. call came in and Assistant Chief Larry Haydu of the CCFD commented, “Firefighting efforts were extremely difficult due to the location of the fire and access to the location.”

Due to an extraordinary effort, the fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
