Brandon Judd, head of the border patrol union, is now facing “misconduct allegations” by DHS, filed by “politically appointed managers” within the Border Patrol.
Brandon has testified before congress multiple times about the issues Border Patrol agents are having to deal with, and recently revealed that DHS is implementing a “catch-and-release” policy, and the agency has been told not to track illegals.
He has slammed the Obama administration and DHS for failing to enforce the immigration laws, which, he says, has only encouraged more illegal immigrants to cross our borders.
“Immigration laws today appear to be mere suggestions. There are little or no consequences for breaking the laws and that fact is well known in other countries. If government agencies like DHS or CBP are allowed to bypass Congress by legislating through policy, we might as well abolish our immigration laws altogether,” Judd said in one testimony before Congress.
Representative Bob Goodlatte, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, calling on DHS not to retaliate against agents for voicing legitimate concerns or telling the truth in sworn testimony.
