Border Patrol captures 14 illegal immigrants in dump truck

The rate of illegal immigrants coming through the southern border has slowed considerably since President Trump began cracking down on illegal immigration, but his policies didn’t deter one smuggler from trying to sneak in 14 illegal aliens into California by hiding them beneath a heavy tarp in the bed of a dump truck on Thursday.

The entire group was detained at the Indio Station checkpoint the moment they were uncovered by California Border patrol agents. The driver of the truck now faces criminal charges.

This arrest took place while ICE officers conducted a five-day raid in Southern California, arresting nearly 200 people suspected of being in this country illegally. According to reports, “Ninety percent of the illegal aliens captures had prior criminal convictions.”

President Trump promised to crack down on illegal immigration during his 2016 campaign. It appears he is holding to his promise.
