Border Patrol captures Kuwaiti man near Mexico border

On the very day that the Supreme Court issued a major decision on President Trump’s travel ban order, it was announced that Border Patrol agents have arrested an illegal alien from Kuwait near the Texas-Mexico border.

CBS4 Valley Central reported Monday afternoon that Munir Othman Issa, a citizen of Kuwait, was arrested Saturday near La Joya, Texas.  Issa also goes by the name “Munir Dawud.”

This isn’t his first time being in the United States illegally – he was deported once before.

According to the criminal complaint, Issa was convicted on drug charges in July 2005 and sentenced to five years probation.

He was formally deported from the United States on May 2, 2006, through Chicago, Illinois, the federal complaint states.

Now he’s been captured in the U.S. once again, is being charged with illegal re-entry, and is in federal custody, CBS4 reports.

An update will follow as further information becomes available.
