Boy Arrested in Chicken Nugget Robbery Attempt

An armed 12-year-old boy in East Harlem, New York, attempted to rob his classmate at gunpoint on Tuesday, in exchange for a chicken nugget.

The girl refused, and walked away.

He pursued the girl inside the subway station, and demanded a second time for the chicken nugget, again pointing the gun at her. She slapped the gun out of his hand, and boarded the train.

The girl later claimed that she saw the boy showing the gun to other classmates on the train.

The following day, the girl reported the situation to her school. Authorities didn’t classify if the gun was loaded, but the boy was arrested as a juvenile for attempted robbery.

The incident resulted in no injuries.
