CONFIRMED: FBI Is Investigating Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt’s wife and longtime partner Angelina Jolie filed for divorce earlier this week, with there being a claim that she was disappointed in his parenting methods.

Earlier today it was reported that Los Angeles Police Department was investigating Brad Pitt for child abuse. The report was made by gossip website TMZ. People Magazine also claimed to confirm the report as true.

LAPD Spokesperson Sergeant Barry Montgomery released a statement in response to the gossip about the allegations of child abuse:

“We have no criminal investigation that we are actively pursuing. And right now, that is where our office is. We are not investigating any case, nor do we have any allegations against Mr. Pitt. We understand how rumors get spun up and hopefully we can put a few of them to rest. We have no investigation involving Mr. Pitt.”

The original TMZ story made the claim that an incident occurred between the Pitt family at the Van Nuys airport on September 14. Allegedly, Pitt got wasted and went into an angry tirade against Jolie and his children. Pitt denies this ever took place.

That said, it has been confirmed by Fox News, that Brad Pitt is being investigated by the FBI amid reports he got ‘verbally abusive and physical with his children’ on a private jet.

The family is said to have been on a flight home from France when he allegedly became ‘wasted’ and started ‘screaming’ before continuing the ‘rant’ on the tarmac when the plane landed, trying to leave the scene in a fuel truck.  The FBI is investigating the incident because it happened on an international flight.

On Thursday morning, a police car was seen arriving at the Jolie-Pitt compound in the Hollywood Hills, where Pitt is believed to be staying while Jolie and the children are at a Malibu rental home.
