Laurel Griggs, a rising Broadway star, died last week. She was 13.

Laurel debuted on the Great White Way in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” alongside Scarlett Johansson when she was just 6 years old, but she’s best known for a 17-month run as Ivanka in the Tony Award-winning “Once the Musical,” making her the longest-running actress to take on the role.

The article goes on to state the following:

“I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss of one of my Ivanka sisters,” Eliza Holland Madore, who also played Ivanka in “Once,” wrote on Instagram. “Laurel- you were always smiling and always made other people laugh. I’m so incredibly grateful that I got to know you. You will never be forgotten, and we will never stop loving you. Everybody in the Once Family is going to keep you alive through us. R.I.P. My heart goes to her family.”
