Former “Sex and the City” actress Cynthia Nixon lost her bid Wednesday to secure the New York Democratic Party’s nomination for governor.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo received 95 percent of the votes cast by delegates attending the state party’s nominating convention, meaning Nixon was well short of the 25 percent she needed to be automatically listed on the ballot for the Democratic gubernatorial primary on Sept. 13, per the Democrat & Chronicle.
