Disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti was convicted Friday by a jury of all three charges related to his efforts to extort up to $25 million from athletic apparel giant Nike.

The verdict in U.S. District Court in Manhattan came two years after Avenatti gained widespread notoriety for his representation of porn star Stormy Daniels in her legal disputes with President Donald Trump.

The article goes on to state the following:

Avenatti, 48, was accused in the Nike case of trying to shake down the company by threatening to expose alleged evidence of bribing amateur basketball players and their families unless the company paid up.

According to the report, the” bombastic attorney” faces more trials in the spring over two other federal criminal cases.

Avenatti, the former attorney for President Donald J. Trump accuser Stormy Daniels, was blasted by the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., after the jury decision.

Trump Jr. tweeted:

“I look forward to Michael’s witty twitter retorts to the jury that just found him guilty in all counts. Though I’m told he is still doing well amongst the Democrat primary contenders. #basta.”

According to the Urban Dictionary,  “’Basta’ is an Italian word meaning ‘enough,’ often yelled by Italian grandmothers at rambunctious or unruly children.

“In social media, it can mean ‘this has to stop’ or ‘I’m done with this conversation/thread.'”

Avenetti has used the hashtag several times, and Trump Jr. has used it to mock him.

Piers Morgan:

“Michael Avenatti, who as Stormy Daniels’ lawyer vowed to bring down President Trump, found GUILTY on all counts in Nike extortion case.

“Only one going down…is Avenatti.”
