Miles Taylor, a former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official, revealed on Wednesday that he was the anonymous author behind a New York Times op-ed and subsequent book criticizing President Trump’s character from the perspective of a staffer inside the administration.

“I witnessed Trump’s inability to do his job over the course of two-and-a-half years. Everyone saw it, though most were hesitant to speak up for fear of reprisals,” Taylor, who left the administration last year, wrote in a Medium post.

The article goes on to state the following:

“So when I left the Administration I wrote A Warning, a character study of the current Commander in Chief and a caution to voters that it wasn’t as bad as it looked inside the Trump Administration — it was worse,” he continued.

The New York Times published the mysterious op-ed on Sept. 5, 2018, titled, “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration – I work for the president but like-minded colleagues and I have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.”

The author of the op-ed, who remained anonymous until today, wrote in 2018, “Many of the senior officials in his own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations. I would know. I am one of them.”

In revealing himself as the author on Wednesday, Taylor praised other former members of the administration who have turned against the president. He wrote, “History will also record the names of those souls who had everything to lose but stood up anyway, including Trump officials Fiona Hill, Michael McKinley, John Mitnick, Elizabeth Neumann, Bob Shanks, Olivia Troye, Josh Venable, Alexander Vindman, and many more. I applaud their courage.”

Taylor urged more Republicans to “put country over party, even if that means supporting Trump’s Democratic opponent.” He wrote, “Although former Vice President Joe Biden is likely to pursue progressive reforms that conservatives oppose (and rest assured, we will challenge them in the loyal opposition), his policy agenda cannot equal the damage done by the current President to the fabric of our Republic. I believe Joe Biden’s decency will bring us back together where Donald Trump’s dishonesty has torn us apart.”

Pinned to the top of his Twitter page is an Oct. 6 post which reads, “To current & former Trump Administration officials: we have secured top-tier, pro bono legal counsel to advise those looking to speak out about the President. We’ve got your back. My DMs are open.”

Earlier Wednesday morning, Taylor tweeted, “Reminder to those who haven’t yet voted: Trump wanted us to explore gassing, electrifying, and shooting migrants at the border. Is that who we are? Vote him out.”

“It’s still not too late to join us! Let’s call it the “Network of Ex-Trump Appointees for a Constitutional Transition” (NEXT ACT)—dedicated to helping @realDonaldTrump find a new gig,” Taylor proclaimed on Monday, as he posted a video of former members of the Trump administration slamming the president.

George Conway, husband of former White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, shared a link to Taylor’s original op-ed on Twitter Wednesday morning, and touted, “I had an amazing conversation this morning with … Anonymous. Anonymous is a true patriot. We’ll all be hearing a lot more from this person very, very soon.”

  1. Who the hell. Did he not get his 15 minutes of fame sometime ago. Sounds like a whining rhino or Democrat. And I may go a step further. What is his expertise or training to be in a position to dictate to the rest of us what constitutes A good president, elected by Americans! Are we sick of people like this or what.

  2. Another swamp creature revealed. Seems to me that they’re being exposed or exposing themselves. Four more years of President Trump will have their butts in GITMO for the crimes we now know have been happening. A lot of money will be coming back into our coffers.

  3. So Miles Taylor campaigned and the people elected him??? These people that feel they know best and secretly sabotage from within the duly elected sitting president Are the bottom scum of the swamp, including those the likes of George Conway. They are far from patriots!

  4. We true Americans choose policy over character. We don’t want progressive/socialist/communist policies that take away our freedoms and rights. We want policies that benefit American citizens, not illegals, that allow for prosperity, not government control that leads to oppression/depression.

  5. Something is rotten in the swamp.
Trumps accomplishments are undeniable. You can’t argue that.
As soon as I saw Vindman listed I knew something was up.
    The timing is also interesting.
To take the spotlight off the Biden’s influence peddling Perhaps?

  6. Blah Blah Blah. I give no credence to hit pieces that are “revealed” immediately before an election. These people always come out from under their rocks at what their handlers think is the perfect moment. Amazing.

  7. Well the decency of Biden ! Wow A pervert and a thief of epic proportions ! This idiot is an enemy of America and should be treasured as such wherever he goes . Bozo our President has done more than you in 15 minutes than you had . We must as Americans be vigilant to these swamp creatures who are in bed with the thieves in Washington Wonder what his bank account has in it Fiona Hill a joke .
