The FBI just held a press conference with more details on the Islamic terror attack in Orlando Sunday morning, for which ISIS has claimed responsibility. FBI admitted the following:
Shooter Omar Mateen was under investigation by FBI in 2013 after making inflammatory terror-related remarks to his co-workers. After interview Mateen, FBI deemed it as not serious.
FBI interviewed Mateen again in 2014, after more comments were made, and he had communication with a terrorist who was trying to bomb America.
After both 2013 and 2014 incidents, FBI still remained unconcerned about Omar, and he was still issued gun permits, despite the fact that he had two previous FBI investigations links to terror.
Eleven police officers and three members of the sheriff’s department all fired their weapons in taking down Mateen.
