A high school classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has revealed he heard him sing a crude sexual song about a girl called Renate.

The classmate, who asked for anonymity, submitted a sworn affidavit to the FBI and his attorney also sent it to several members of the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this week, the New Yorker reports.

The article goes on to state the following:

He was among a number of Kavanaugh’s former classmates who sent unsolicited statements after becoming frustrated at not being able to speak to the agents conducting the investigation into the sexual assault allegations against him, according to the magazine.

In his statement, this classmate – who said he attended Georgetown Prep in Bethesda, Maryland, with Kavanaugh from 1979 until 1983, contradicted Kavanaugh’s testimony that he never denigrated a woman called Renate Schroeder.

The classmate recalled that he was walking to class with Kavanaugh one day when he heard him sing a song about a girl called Renate.

‘Brett Kavanaugh had made up a rhyme using the REE NATE pronunciation of Renate’s name,’ he said in his statement.

‘REE NATE, REE NATE, if you want a date, can’t get one until late, and you wanna get laid, you can make it with REE NATE,’ he said he heard Kavanaugh sing.
