Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.) said on Thursday that she will oppose Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
“The process has been bad … I will be voting ‘no’ on Judge Kavanaugh,” Heitkamp told North Dakota radio station, WDAY.
Heitkamp, who is running for reelection in a state Trump won in 2016, has been tightlipped about her thinking on Kavanaugh, declining to speak with reporters on Wednesday or Thursday.
The article goes on to state the following:
The decision marks a shift for Heitkamp, who was one of three Democrats to support Gorsuch. Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) has announced his opposition to Kavanaugh, while Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) remains undecided.
Republicans likely don’t need Heitkamp to ultimately get Kavanaugh confirmed. They have a 51-seat majority, meaning they can lose one GOP senator before they need help from Democrats.

““The process has been bad … I will be voting ‘no’ on Judge Kavanaugh,” Heitkamp told North Dakota radio station, WDAY.” Simply look in the mirror stupid and you will see why the process was bad, you and your pathetic party are at fault. How can any self respecting person condone the antics of the democrat leadership?
