Afghanistan – According to varying reports, at least two United States military personnel were killed Saturday when an Afghan army solider opened fire on them. In addition, two other U.S. soldiers were also wounded in the attacks according to a statement made by Attahullah Khogyani, a spokesman for the provincial governor in Nangarhar province.
The Afghan soldier who opened fire was killed after the attack, which took place in the Achin district. The U.S. military has not commented.
According to the SITE Intel Group, the Taliban is claiming credit for the attack. However, it lists all 4 soldiers as being killed.
