An unidentified person went on a rampage this morning at a west-side Tallahassee business, stabbing a number of people in some cases multiple times.

Tallahassee police were called around 8:35 a.m. to Dyke Industries, a building materials company located on Maryland Circle in an industrial park off Hartsfield Road.

The article goes on to state the following:

When officers arrived, they found a number of stabbing victims and began treating them on the scene, said Officer Damon Miller, a spokesman for TPD. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was killed. At least six people were taken to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, though the extent of their injuries was unknown.

A suspect is in custody, though police gave no description of the person or a possible motive for the violence.

An update on Twitter by local station WCJB-TV20 reads, “ABC affiliate WTXL is reporting that witnesses who work at Dyke Industries told them the suspect is an employee who got fired and another employee was able to fight him off during the stabbing incident.”
