President Trump sent out a series of unexpected Twitter posts Friday afternoon, announcing he has just named a new Chief of Staff to replace Reince Priebus.

In a three-part Twitter announcement, Trump stated that Homeland Security Secretary, Gen. John F. Kelly, will be the new Chief of Staff, and thanked Reince Priebus for his service.

“I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American… and a Great Leader. John has also done a spectacular job at Homeland Security. He has been a true star of my Administration.”

“I would like to thank Reince Priebus for his service and dedication to his country. We accomplished a lot together and I am proud of him!”

Priebus, 45, has been the Chief of Staff since Trump came into office, but has been accused of being a “leaker” by newly appointed communications director, Anthony Saramucci.

This is a developing story. Details on who will replace Kelly at Homeland Security are still forthcoming.
