BREAKING: Police responding to terror incidents in London

Two separate incidents have occurred in London Wednesday, which authorities are assuming were committed by the same person.

A vehicle drove along the Westminister Bridge near the Parliament building, “mowing down” several pedestrians who were on the bridge. Reports have come in of up to a dozen people struck on the bridge.

A car (presumed to be the same car) then drove on to the House of Parliament and crashed into the railings outside the building.

Fox News has reported that the man had a knife, attempted to attack a police officer, and was shot by police outside the Parliament building.

Wednesday is the anniversary of the terror attack in Belgium.

This is a developing story.

UPDATE 2:00 p.m. ET: Four people are now confirmed dead, including the police officer who was stabbed by the attacker.

UPDATE 12:40 p.m. ET:  A second bridge pedestrian has now been pronounced dead. Officials are treating today’s incident as a terrorist attack until proven otherwise.

UPDATE 12:15 p.m. ET:   One woman is reported dead from the attack on pedestrians on the bridge, with others sustaining “catastrophic” injuries.
