At of 8:21pm EDT,  POLITICO put out a tweet reading: BREAKING NEWS Trump has decided to end DACA, with 6-month delay.

The Virginia based news organization claims that President Donald J. Trump has decided to end the Obama DACA program that was put into action in 2012 a few months prior to the presidential election.

The DACA program provides temporary amnesty to the children of illegal aliens by granting them work permits and legal identifications without the fear of deportation.

POLITICO cites “two sources familiar with his thinking” — “his” being Trump’s.

According to the liberal news outlet, senior White House aides met on Sunday afternoon to plan the rollout of a decision that will enthuse Trump’s base, but leave the left going insanely mad.

Ending DACA was one of Trump’s key campaign promises, and he has been wish-washy with his comments of late when speaking about the program, stating he “loves” the Dreamers.

DACA, which is short for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, is viewed by many as an unconstitutional program that Obama put forward without the required approval of Congress.

According to POLITICO, who cites a White House official, the Trump administration plans to delay the enforcement of the president’s decision for six months, giving Congress a window to act.  POLITICO also states, “But a senior White House aide said that chief of staff John Kelly, who has been running the West Wing policy process on the issue, “thinks Congress should’ve gotten its act together a lot longer ago.”
