BREAKING: Russia probe identifies current WH employee as ‘person of interest’

Federal investigators commissioning the probe of possible ties between President Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia have reportedly identified a current White House official as a “significant person of interest,” according to a new report from the Washington Post.

Reportedly, the senior White House adviser is someone close to Trump. This individual has not been publicly disclosed. However, officials familiar with the matter confirmed the individual is under scrutiny.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer responded to the report Friday afternoon.

“As the president has stated before, a thorough investigation will confirm that there was no collusion between the campaign and any foreign entity,” Spicer restated to the reporting press.
