Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci told followers to “stay tuned” as he canceled his online press event, originally scheduled for Friday.

Scaramucci announced plans to host a live, online event with the assistance of former Fox News co-president Bill Shine, aimed at communicating directly with President Trump’s base of voters and supporters. Apparently, he intended to discuss the events surrounding his ousting after only 11 days as a member of the Trump administration.

In a Twitter post, Scaramucci wrote: “No Press Event Tomorrow: Focusing on Family, My Work in The Private Sector. #Moving forward Stay tuned!”

While Scaramucci reported that he had only planned to be a “special purpose vehicle” in his role as communications director for a short time, up to nine months according to reports, newly-appointed White House chief of staff John Kelly’s dismissal of “Mooch” was extremely abrupt.

After he was fired Monday, documents allegedly revealing Scaramucci’s plan for the White House communications staff began circulating in the news. They reveal he intended to create a “complaint box” for grievances from the media, and that he hoped to form a better relationship with the press.

Scaramucci reportedly intended to focus on positive content from the White House and “humanize” the president.

Although he didn’t have enough time to implement his agenda, Scaramucci’s brief time in the White house led to the resignations of both press secretary Sean Spicer and chief of staff Reince Priebus.

Ironically, Priebus’s departure brought Kelly into the chief of staff position, which led to Scaramucci’s own firing.
