BREAKING: Senate votes on repeal-only Obamacare plan

BREAKING – 55 senators, seven of them being Republicans, voted NO on Wednesday to a proposal that would repeal much of Obamacare.

Senators voted 55-45 against an amendment from Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) that would repeal Obamacare and give lawmakers two years to come up with a replacement.

GOP Sens. Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Shelley Moore Capito (W.V.), Susan Collins (Maine), Dean Heller (Nev.), John McCain (Ariz.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Rob Portman (Ohio) joined every Democrat in voting no.

It was the second Obamacare plan rejected in the past 24-hours.

The Republicans who rejected the plan claim they want a replacement in place when a repeal is made.
