A private meeting occurred between former President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch Monday evening, on board a private plane on the tarmac at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix.
The meeting was just hours before the release of the Benghazi report, and amid an ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails during her term as Secretary of State.
ABC15 Arizona News is reporting that Bill Clinton was already in the Phoenix area and had arrived at the airport to depart. He allegedly learned that Loretta Lynch was due to arrive soon, and delayed his departure so he could meet with her.
ABC15 says the two were aboard a plane in a private meeting for about 30 minutes.
When asked about the meeting at her news conference later, Lynch said they only talked about personal matters, such as grandchildren, travels and his golf game in Phoenix.
Lynch claims there was no discussion about emails or Benghazi or any other matter pending with the Department.
