CNN has built itself a reputation for reporting unsubstantiated stories that unfairly target Donald J. Trump.
Today, the battered cable news network attempted to separate itself from Buzzfeed.com, the website guilty of conducting the same sort of unethical practices as CNN.
Last week, BuzzFeed published an unconfirmed report about Donald Trump and the Russian government. CNN decided to help push the story through its highly visited website and television news programming.
The report has since been debunked but, even so, BuzzFeed’s editor-in-chief, Ben Smith still defends the decision to publish the unconfirmed memo.
He actually went as far as stating the folks at BuzzFeed are “proud” of their decision.
