Caitlyn Jenner apologizes for being a Trump supporter

Trump-supporter-turned-Trump-hater Caitlyn Jenner has issued an apology after being caught on camera wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

According to TMZ, Jenner grabbed the hat out of her closet prior to a golf outing and didn’t realize that it was the signature hat sported by Trump supporters. Obtained, no doubt from back when she loved the President; before he called for a ban on transgender individuals serving in the United States military.

“I apologize to all of the trans community. I made a mistake. I will never do it again and I’m getting rid of the hat,” Jenner, the Olympic-medalist-turned-transgender-activist, told the entertainment news website.

An outspoken Republican living in a world of California liberals, Jenner famously voted for Trump and was content to be on the outs with her Hollywood counterparts until he called for the military ban on transgender people last month.

“There are 15,000 patriotic transgender Americans in the US military fighting for all of us. What happened to your promise to fight for them?” Jenner wrote on Twitter right after Trump’s call for the ban.  Of course, the replies she received were scathing, with angry liberals calling her out for voting for Trump, and angry conservatives calling her out for still being a man.

Jenner told reporters, “What he’s doing to our community is absolutely f***ing awful.”

As for the hat that she now hates, Jenner said that she’s considering signing it and auctioning it off so that she can give the proceeds to a cause that will benefit people in the transgender community. And if she doesn’t do that, she said that she might just rip it up or burn it.
