Today, President Trump signed an executive order outlining new border security measures along the U.S. – Mexico border. The order includes the building of a wall. During his campaign, Trump promised that Mexico would pay for the wall.
In an interview with ABC NEWS on Wednesday night, the president was asked if American taxpayers will pay for the construction of the wall estimated to cost tens of billions of dollars. President Trump answered by saying the Mexican government will pay for the wall in some form of future payment, but he did not provide specific details. Meanwhile, the president of Mexico issued a statement on Wednesday in which he said Mexico will not pay for the wall.
