Carrier Union Boss Threatened after CNN Interview

Carrier union boss Chuck Jones appeared on CNN Wednesday night and Donald Trump tweeted his displeasure at what was said shortly thereafter. Now Jones told MSNBC that he is receiving threatening phone calls.

Chuck Jones appeared on CNN’s “Erin Burnett Out Front” and basically said Trump lied about the number of jobs going to Mexico and staying in the United States.

Jones said, “A lot of people at that point in time thought they were going to have a job. They did not mention anything about 550 jobs here in Indiana going to Mexico.”

Jones also said, “Trump lied his ass off about the terms of the deal.”

After Jones appeared on the show, Donald Trump tweeted, “No wonder companies flee country,” Trump said. If United Steelworkers 1999 was any good, they would have kept those jobs in Indiana. Spend more time working-less time talking. Reduce dues.”
Now Jones states that the barrage of threatening phone calls all stem from Donald Trump’s tweet. Jones said the tweets are not directly threatening his life but are more like,”you better keep your eye on your kids.”
