Manhattan, N.Y. — Cameras captured the brutal beating of a man on a city sidewalk in Manhattan’s Lower East Side Friday morning, as pedestrians are seen walking past.

Police are reporting that three males were involved in the incident, which occurred around 2:45 a.m.

Two men chased a 24-year-old man north on Orchard Street toward Stanton Street, eventually catching up to the victim and savagely pummeling and kicking him in his face, head, and body.

The attack took place directly in front of the 156 Orchard Street address before the two assailants fled the scene in a black livery vehicle.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he remains in serious condition.
