Chelsea Clinton comes to Kellyanne Conway’s defense over lewd comment from Dem


While speaking at a dinner at the Washington Press Club Foundation on Wednesday, Democratic representative Cedric Richmond of Louisiana made an inappropriate comment with sexual undertones about White House counselor Kellyanne Conway.

The comment was in regards to a photo taken of Conway sitting on her knees on a couch in the Oval Office.

Referring to the photo in which Conway was tasked with taking pictures of President Trump and a group of leaders from historically black colleges, Richmond said that Conway “really looked, kind of, familiar in that position.”

While it seems that the Washington Post has given Richmond a pass for the comment, he is being blasted by many who are coming to Conway’s defense, including Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former president Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

On Friday, Clinton tweeted, “despicable,” and demanded that Conway received an apology.

According to the Daily Caller, Conway has proclaimed that there would have been more outrage over the inappropriate comment if she was a liberal woman.

“And it is not just if I were a liberal woman, but if I were a pro-abortion one,” she added.

Conway told the Daily Caller: “I helped usher in those 60+ HBCU presidents after speaking with them in the Roosevelt Room. I was taking pics and texting the pics to [the college presidents]. MANY of them have defended me on radio and social media.”

Richmond, who said his comment was a “joke,” never apologized for his comments, which didn’t go unnoticed by Conway.

“I notice he did not apologize … he tried to clarify,” she said.
